His practice in southeastern West Virginia emphasizes teaching people to take care of themselves with home exercises and herbal medicines. His previous publications include Manipulation at Home: Exercises to Complement Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (WVSOM 2003), The Pocket Manual of OMT (editor and co-author, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins 2007, 2011), Manipulation in Motion (editor and co-author, WVSOM 2009), and A Tale of Two Boxes (fiction, Lulu.com 2011).
